The Educational Improvement Tax Credit program is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. This program allows businesses across Pennsylvania to redirect their state tax dollars to support education in their communities. We have programs to benefit students from preschool through 12th grade. Students must reside in Pennsylvania, attend one of our participating schools and meet certain income eligibility criteria.
To be eligible for an EITC scholarship, the recipient must be a resident of Pennsylvania, and reside in a household with income of less than $90,000 annually, with an additional allowance of $15,000 per dependent. The application must be accompanied by the most recent tax return of the person that claimed the child as a dependent, showing the number of dependents and household adjusted gross income.
Reimbursement Policy: If a scholarship recipient does not complete the entire year of school to which the scholarship applies, any unused funding must be returned by the school to Commonwealth Charitable Management.
Payment: Payment will be sent directly to the school. Recipients will be notified of awards as soon as funding is available.
